If they fixed the wheels the Spitfire would have been twice as good.

The Blenheim is a classic example of how rapid aircraft development was at the time. Introduced as a fast light bomber, it was a monoplane with an enclosed cockpit and retractable undercarriage, supposedly too quick for the fighters of the time. Just a few years later it was hopelessly outclassed and easy prey for German fighters.

The Merlin was the original orchestra with the Griffon producing a great cover version but not quite that perfect.

Man those wings are massive, I can't imagine the yaw that thing generates on turns. Leg day, all day!

I do believe the Griffon sounds a tad more beastly than the DB605.

I regard this as a beautiful aircraft, so glad it's still flying. I would love a ride next time I get over to the UK.

It's great to see the old girl still flying. I have a record of three take offs, three flights and NO landings in her... she was the RAF Sport Parachute Association aircraft at Weston-on-the-Green in the early 1970s when I was foolish enough to think that jumping out of an aeroplane was a good idea!

I fly radio control model airplanes 25+ years and do tremendous amount of aerobatic maneuvers. Had a model of this airplane way back and to this day consider it to have been most incredible precision flying machine. This vid not so much, just wobbling around.

Who was the pilot, he was having a ball! I've been to an airshow or two and have never seen a display like this! Marvelous.

Why did they put 109G in brackets? It's no more a 109G than my 2006 Ford Ranger.
